What's included

What a clinical scope covers

Built around the separation of clinical and non-clinical zones, so nothing crosses between them.

Clinical areas

  • Treatment and consult room surfaces disinfected to correct contact times
  • Examination couches, trolleys and equipment exteriors wiped down
  • Colour-coded cloths and mops, never shared between zones
  • Hard floors mopped with hospital-grade disinfectant
  • Clinical waste bins emptied to your nominated holding point
  • Sharps container replacement where your practice authorises it

Waiting & reception

  • Waiting room seating cleaned and sanitised, including arms and backs
  • High-touch points — door handles, rails, EFTPOS, check-in screens
  • Reception counters and workstations sanitised
  • Children's play areas and toys sanitised where present
  • Floors vacuumed or mopped, entry mats detailed

Records & compliance

  • Signed cleaning record for every visit, retained and produced on request
  • Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals held on site
  • Documented cleaning method statements per area type
  • Colour-coding chart displayed in the cleaner's store
  • Staff trained in standard precautions and hand hygiene

Every scope is built for the individual site — this is the starting point, not a fixed menu.

Why it matters here

The cleaning is only half of it — the other half is being able to prove it

At accreditation, what gets scrutinised is documentation. Practices lose time chasing a cleaning contractor for records that were never kept. We keep them as a matter of course.

  • Every visit is signed off and retained. When your accreditation surveyor asks for twelve months of cleaning records, you have them without making a phone call.
  • Colour-coded equipment, enforced. Separate cloths and mops for clinical, amenity and general areas — the single most important control against cross-contamination.
  • Correct contact times are actually observed. Disinfectant that's wiped off early hasn't disinfected anything. Our staff are trained on dwell times, not just the motion.
  • Clinical waste handled to your protocol. We move it to your nominated holding point and never into general waste. Sharps handling only where you've authorised it in writing.
  • Police-checked, immunised staff with a consistent roster, so the same trusted people are in your treatment rooms each week.
Typical schedule

A typical general practice

Based on a 4–8 consult room GP or dental practice with a shared waiting area.

Daily clean after close

All clinical surfaces disinfected, waiting room sanitised, amenities cleaned, floors done. Roughly 90 minutes for a mid-size practice.

High-touch focus

Door handles, rails, check-in screens and EFTPOS terminals sanitised every visit — these carry the highest transmission risk in the building.

Weekly detail

Skirting, vents, chair bases, under-couch areas and internal glass, rotated so nothing goes more than a week.

Quarterly deep clean

Carpet steam cleaning or hard floor maintenance, upholstery cleaning, and high dusting — documented for your accreditation file.

Common questions

Medical & Dental — your questions answered

Do you provide cleaning records for accreditation?

Yes, as standard. Every visit is signed off against the scope and retained. When your practice goes through accreditation, you can produce a complete cleaning history without having to request anything from us.

We also hold Safety Data Sheets for every chemical used on your site, and written cleaning method statements per area type — both of which surveyors commonly ask to see.

Do you use colour-coded equipment?

Yes, and it's non-negotiable on medical sites. Separate colour-coded cloths and mop heads for clinical areas, amenities and general areas, with the coding chart displayed in the cleaner's store. Equipment is never shared between zones.

Can you handle clinical waste and sharps?

We move clinical waste to your nominated holding point for collection by your licensed contractor, and it never enters general waste. Sharps containers are only replaced where your practice has authorised it in writing and provided the procedure — we won't make that call ourselves.

Are your staff immunised and police-checked?

All staff hold a current National Police Check. Staff assigned to medical sites are also required to have up-to-date immunisations appropriate to a healthcare setting, and are trained in standard precautions and hand hygiene before they attend a clinical site.

Can you clean after our last patient leaves?

Yes. Most practices we service are cleaned after close, which avoids any patient contact and lets us work through treatment rooms without interruption. Early-morning cleaning before the first appointment is also possible if your access arrangements suit it better.
