What's included

What a school scope covers

Split between the daily term-time clean and the periodic work that only makes sense during a break.

Classrooms & learning areas

  • Floors vacuumed or mopped, chairs stacked and returned
  • Desks and shared surfaces sanitised
  • Whiteboards cleaned, ledges and trays cleared
  • Bins emptied and relined
  • Door handles, light switches and rails sanitised
  • Library, art rooms and specialist spaces to scope

Amenities & high-use areas

  • Toilet blocks cleaned and restocked — often twice daily
  • Change rooms and gym floors cleaned
  • Canteen and food prep areas sanitised to food-safety standard
  • Staff rooms and administration areas
  • Corridors, stairwells and entry mats

Holiday periods

  • Hard floor strip and reseal across classrooms and corridors
  • Carpet steam cleaning throughout
  • High dusting of vents, light fittings and ceiling fans
  • Full window cleaning, internal and external
  • Deep sanitising of toilet blocks and change rooms

Every scope is built for the individual site — this is the starting point, not a fixed menu.

Why it matters here

Toilet blocks are the whole ballgame

Ask any principal what generates parent complaints and it isn't the classroom carpet. School toilets are high-use, high-visibility, and the fastest way for a cleaning contract to lose credibility.

  • Toilet blocks scoped for the traffic they actually get. Most schools need a midday service on top of the after-hours clean, and we'd rather quote that properly than under-scope it.
  • Heavy work goes in the holidays. Floor stripping, carpet steam cleaning and window work planned into the break calendar a term ahead, so nothing disrupts teaching.
  • All staff hold current Working With Children Checks, with the register available to your business manager at any time.
  • We work to your bell times and lockup. Cleaning after last bell, around after-school care, and sports facility hire — documented in the scope, not improvised.
  • Illness-season response. When a gastro or flu wave hits, we can lift touchpoint sanitising frequency for a defined period rather than leaving you to manage it.
Typical schedule

A typical primary school

Based on a 350–500 student site with 18–24 classrooms and three toilet blocks.

Daily after-hours clean

All classrooms, corridors, staff areas and amenities from after last bell. Typically a team of three to four over three hours.

Midday toilet service

A short scheduled service of all toilet blocks during the school day — clean, restock, check. This is what keeps complaints down.

Weekly detail rotation

Specialist rooms, library, gym and high dusting rotated across the week alongside the core clean.

Holiday program

Floor stripping and sealing, carpet steam cleaning and window work, planned a term ahead and completed before students return.

Common questions

Schools & Education — your questions answered

Can you work around school hours and after-school care?

Yes. Our standard model is a clean starting after last bell, sequenced so we're not in areas still being used by OSHC or sports hire. Where a hall or gym is booked in the evening, we schedule it last or move it to the following morning.

Do you do holiday deep cleans?

Yes, and we'd encourage planning them a term ahead. Floor stripping and sealing, carpet steam cleaning, high dusting and full window cleaning are all far cheaper and less disruptive done in a break than squeezed around a timetable.

How often should school toilets be cleaned?

In our experience a single after-hours clean isn't enough for most schools. A midday service — clean, restock and check — on top of the daily clean is what actually keeps the blocks presentable and complaints down. We'd rather quote that in from the start than have the contract judged on a toilet block that was never resourced properly.

Can you increase cleaning during a gastro or flu outbreak?

Yes. We can lift touchpoint sanitising frequency across the site for a defined period, and add midday sanitising passes in affected year-level areas. It's quoted as a variation so you're not carrying the cost year-round for something you need three weeks a year.
