What a warehouse scope covers
Driven by floor area and traffic. Machine scrubbing does the heavy lifting; the detail work is what keeps a site audit-ready.
Floors & traffic areas
- Ride-on or walk-behind scrubbing of main aisles and floor plate
- Line marking kept clean and visible for forklift safety
- Pedestrian walkways scrubbed and edges detailed
- Spill response and tyre-mark removal
- Dock levellers and apron areas swept and washed down
Racking & high level
- Racking beam and upright dusting to reachable heights
- Mezzanine floors and stair treads cleaned
- High-level dusting via scissor lift or EWP where required
- Light fitting and vent dusting at height
- Cobweb removal through roof structure and corners
Amenities & office
- Crib rooms and lunchrooms cleaned and sanitised
- Toilets, showers and change rooms serviced and restocked
- Attached office areas cleaned to standard office scope
- Driver waiting areas and reception
- Bin management and waste consolidation
Every scope is built for the individual site — this is the starting point, not a fixed menu.
A dirty warehouse floor is a safety finding waiting to happen
Faded line marking, dust build-up on racking and a slippery dock apron all show up in a safety audit long before anyone complains about how the site looks.
- Line marking visibility is treated as a safety task, not a cosmetic one. Faded or obscured pedestrian lines are one of the most common warehouse audit findings.
- We schedule between shifts or overnight. Machine scrubbing happens when the aisles are clear, so there's no forklift-versus-cleaner conflict.
- Racking dust is managed before it becomes a problem. Accumulated dust at height is both a fire load and a contamination risk for anything stored below.
- Dock aprons washed down regularly. The wettest, dirtiest, highest-traffic part of the site, and the one most likely to produce a slip incident.
- Site inductions completed properly. Our staff complete your induction, wear the required PPE, and work to your traffic management plan — we don't ask for exemptions.
A typical distribution centre
Based on a 4,000–8,000 m² facility running a day pick shift with evening despatch.
Nightly floor scrub
Ride-on scrubbing of main aisles and traffic areas once despatch clears, typically from 10pm. Two to three hours depending on the plate.
Daily amenities
Crib rooms, toilets, showers and change rooms serviced daily — usually the area that drives the most staff feedback.
Monthly high level
Racking dusting and cobweb removal, worked aisle by aisle so no area is out of service for long.
Quarterly deep clean
Full floor plate including under racking where accessible, dock apron pressure wash, and high-level structural dusting.
Warehouse & Logistics — your questions answered
Can you clean overnight or between shifts?
Yes — that's standard for warehouse work. Machine scrubbing needs clear aisles, so we typically start once despatch has finished. For 24-hour operations we work zone by zone around your traffic management plan rather than trying to take the whole floor at once.
Do you have ride-on scrubbing equipment?
Yes. Floor plate size determines the machine — walk-behind scrubbers for tighter sites and racking aisles, ride-on units for large open plates. Using the wrong machine is how a floor clean ends up taking twice as long and costing you more.
Can you work at height on racking?
Yes, with the right equipment and documentation. Reachable levels are done from the ground; anything higher is completed via scissor lift or EWP with a working-at-height SWMS in place and appropriately ticketed operators.
Will your staff complete our site induction?
Yes, without exception. Our team completes your induction before first attendance, wears the PPE your site requires, and works to your traffic management plan. We'll also provide our own SWMS and SDS documentation for your contractor management system.
